Okay, all you whacky modders, the MS6 guys are leading the way and have uncovered a silent code that is triggered by "overboost". Read all about it: http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=68736&st=0. See post #8 for the data in the code. I don't know if I completely understand the issue, but what I can gather is that if boost is too high (presumably for x amount of time and not just a spike), it triggers a fuel cutoff and records the silent code.
This has apparently has been the basis for more than one warranty claim denial, including the poor kid whose "buddies" at a local garage put in a downpipe for him and then fried his clutch, presumably while "test driving" the car. Although it appears there were probably plenty of other reasons to deny his claim (serious unreverted power mods), the regional rep seized on the overboost codes and, for some odd reason, the installation of an aftermarket BOV. http://forum.mazda6club.com/index.php?showtopic=68303. These guys say the code can be cleared without a trace, but I'll leave that determination to the rest of you.
This has been an issue for a number of power mods on the MS6, including (IIRC) downpipes. So, if you're gonna do anything that could make that tiny turbo spin faster than one bar, study up. There are a number of threads on the causes and attempted solutions for the fuel cut issue in the MS section of mazda6club.
