Ok, so my car is a bit over 4 years old now. I've been running stock battery since. I have amp/subs and all kinds of other goodies pulling off it so I think 4 years was fair enough for a battery life. Went to pep-boys today and bought a new battery. Installed it in the freezing cold parking lot. gave them my old bat and went on my way. I noticed that the car feels ALOT quicker. like really? whats with this? I wasn't expecting to feel any thing so I highly doubt it's the placebo effect. I am thinking it was one of two things. One being a more powerful shot was being sent to NGK plugs and I am getting a better burn. OR and more probable, The computer restart was enough for me to feel a difference.

I could be wrong in both cases. I just felt it was REALLY odd to feel such a difference.

P.S....the battery is just a load on the electrical system once the car is started...after that its all alternator-fyi :)

I recently installed a new battery in my 3 too. The only performance gain i got was that the car actually started.

ha...true. I had to jump start mine like 4 or 5 times in the past 6 weeks. I thought it was about time to shell out the cash.
