Today I was driving to work when all of the sudden the Automatic Transmission gear indication on the dash started blinking. It went out and would come back on. Is this an electrical issue HELP ?

gear indicator? ohh, the display that tell you what gear your in? I would think it's an electrical problem....probably something as simple as a loose connection behind the dash.

Just noticed that when the indicator blinks that the cars transmission also buckles.

could be a indication of a transmission failure.

i know that the 1999-2003 acura tl have the "D" indicator blinking on the guage when the tranny malfunctioned

i know in my 3 when i have it in the "Manual" slot of the autmomatic gears and im driving too fast it and try to shift down, say im driving 50 and i try to shift down to 1st (accident). it will blink, telling you no, and reject your order to move to 1st.

Are you low on fluid? Check for leaks and the color of the fluid, etc.

Normally on Ford products when this happens the TCM has sensed a failure of some kind and is alerting you. Check fluid level immediately, if it is correct, take it to the dealer.
