There are three main clubs that put on events.
If you're a novice, or you just want to have some fun in a relaxed atmosphere, then go to the events at Bronte GO Station in Oakville, put on by the Corvette Club. The track is fairly open and the speeds a little higher. The Corvette guys are cool.

If you'd rather be running on a tight, slow course, go to the Hershey Center in Mississauga, where the Mazda Club hold their "Push it to the limit" (PITL) series. However, be prepared to wait a long time in between runs, as there are always a lot of cars. They take their event a little more seriously, to the point of being a little anal at times. But I guess they have to, as some of their guys run in the regional championships.

The third series which is pretty good is up in Barrie at Molson Park.
It's a good lot, and they're pretty relaxed about it too. If I remember correctly, they don't even run separate classes. Whoever is quickest wins. It's just for fun. More info at: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/1638/page2.html
TORONTO, ON – The HADA Motorsport Club, a group of Honda/Acura enthusiasts, have joined forces with Sport Compact National magazine and Downtown Acura as co-title sponsors, along with further support from Kensai Racing, to give sport compact drivers an affordable, safe and fun alternative to street racing. A five-event autocross series begins April 25 in the parking lot of Ontario Place, 955 Lakeshore Blvd. West. The new series, called the 'Sport Compact National & Downtown Acura Solo 2 Championship', will provide convenient, local venues for drivers to race their sport compacts around twisty yet flowing and fast closed courses marked with cones. Besides Ontario Place, events will also be run at the Brampton Centre for Sports & Entertainment. An open house is scheduled for April 18 at Downtown Acura, 183 Front Street East, Toronto, Ontario, from 1 - 4pm with food, prizes and a free SCN subscription to series registered entrants.
