I happened to see John Macelroy and the head of Mazda (ZOOM ZOOM) marketing today. It was an interesting discussion. Macelroy asked what was to be the fate of the marketing catch phrase "Zoom Zoom". The answer was that Zoom Zoom is so successful both here and abroad that the phrase was going to continue on in the media. Then this guys says: "it's the emotion of motion" - I sort of thought that was funny in a way because that is the same phrase on my 2004 Mazda 6s booklet. This phrase has not caught on with the public...maybe they should drop it. Emotion of motion??? 'just too corney...he tip toed over brand name regognition. He said the all Mazda's have the sole of a sports car but then turned around and said something about "value". Interesting. How many of you know that Mazda once stood for nothing more than Cheap-Cheap as compared to Zoom Zoom??? Back in my day (1970's) I can recall seeing all sorts of body outer body rust / rot on Mazda cars and mostly trucks. He said "value is not a dirty word". Interesting. It was very shakesperian like "fie wicked spot" or "get thee to a nunery" ... anyway ... I have been looking for a car the satisfies my needs since Oct 2006. Since it is nearly spring I no longer have an issue with the car being sold with stock summer tires. Has Mazda gotten a good hold on issues such as Cell lights? Moror Mounts? Power loss? Should I have any concearn buying a 2007 Mazda Speed 3? I was looking at a 2006 GTO but they too have problems: Transmission...Electrical...etc I put down a $200 deposit on a 2007 Honda Si Sedan - Ralley Redd - Then I backed out. I see Wayne Mazda has a lot of speed 3 cars on the lot...do you think that there will be a spring sell down??? Are dealers stocked up with cars and no sales??? Thoughts???

I will be getting a speed3 the end of the month myself. My brother has an 04 GTO with about 450 RWHP and he hasnt had any problems with his GTO other than blowing a posi but that was due to the added power. :agbullet:

It seems like progress is being made with the cold weather CEL and modified parts are being installed to the fix that issue. The tranny mount issue has yet to get an official response beyond repairing the ones that have failed. And individual dealers have taken some sort of corrective steps when they are brought in loose. Power loss is not an issue that I have seen unlike the MS6.

Wow, they show 9 MS3's in inventory. Do they really have that many? If so, are they selling them at MSRP yet? I know NJ was infamous for selling at substantial markups initially.

NJ selling at substantial markups initially? Not exactly. There was a healthy mix of good and bad.

Wayne Mazda claims to be the largest dealership in the country, and judging by their on-site inventory, I'd think they are at least one of the largest, according to volume. They have a HUGE, and I mean HUGE, lot, with alot of cars. They had 6 MS3s back in November when I checked out them.

They were also selling them all at MSRP. Many individual salespersons seem to be d!cks/arrogant, but I'd have to admit that they deliver as far as the physical product goes. Whether one wants to deal with people like them is another thing...

COOL 3, if you're not too far, Ramsey Mazda has been selling at MSRP with no problems since early on last year.
wayne mazda sucks, that place is full of asshole salemen who treat you like crap and try to intimidate you.
alot of times when you see the inventory online... that doesnt mean they have it on the lot... could mean that the cars are on the boat or at the dock waiting to be transferred to a dealer... thats what happened with mine... i called the guy up about the black GT they had online.. said it hasnt arrived yet.. he called me as soon as it came in and i went and bought it.... same thing with a buddy who got his Speed3 from the same dealer...

Seems like all the dealerships are assholes when it boils down to it...
