Anybody got deep scratches yet?

Got my first...pretty pissed. :x :x :x :x :x

Nothing too extreme but for the fact that my car is no longer pristine irritates the CRAP out of me. Makes me wish I sprung for the procoat electric system.

Yup, my dog jumped on the driver side door and left her signature...four months into my ownership. She saw the devil in my eyes and ran the other way! :)
I have a few small scratches (one on the hood and another on the hatch door) but nothing major. It's inevitable so better get used to it now. The one thing I can say is the speed 3 is holding up better than my Mazda 6 did in terms of scratching. By now the front bumper of my 6 was showing some spots and scratches from road debris. This car is still pristine.
I have matching deep chips on both sides from shopping cart mishaps :madcrazy:
No scratches yet but I do have a f ing door ding already(happened within first month) :x
I am pretty careful when parking but you never know what arse is going to park next to you.
I know it was bound to happen. I just wished it was later than sooner.
I am pretty sure this happened at my work place with it's crowded and tight parking spaces.
Bastards....
I have some scratches here and there from road debris. Scratches are bound to happen and the only thing you can do is minimize the risk. When I go shopping I park all the way to the back (where no one parks) of the parking lot, at least if it gets scratched there I won't feel guilty...
Got one little - itsy bitsy small one on the passenger side front panel.
I am trying not to think about it.
During these situations, I apply the 10 year rule and it goes
"Will this matter in 10 years from now ?"
Answer: NO
I got a nice scratch on the right rear running board, did it myself yesterday with my hydraulic jack. Was pissed for about 30 seconds and got over it. I fear what my car will look like after the autocross season, the pebbles on the course on not good to the car.
Even worse than a scratch is the big chip I have in my windshield right in front of the passenger seat. A HUGE chunk of asphalt came off a truck tire comming the other way on a back road and tagged the glass with authority. Just another reason why I hate driving anything but my beater at this time of year.

Ive heard of the 5 second rule... but never the 10 year rule... I like it.

Almost seems like NOTHING will matter in 10 years haha...

"Oh hey baby... youre cheating on me? Hmmm guess it wont matter in 10 years. Peace."
10 year rule = one mellow dude :D

You wouldn't be able to worry about a damn thing! I like it...
i got some scratches...

one right under the drivers side mirror, i waxed it the other day found a deep gouge on the lower drivers side door. pissed me off, i didnt hit anything/anybody. gotta get some touch up paint. and i have a scratch on my hood. got it from delivery it hasnt buffed out..but it's a 3-4" scratch and its just in the clear...i hope a professional detailer can buff it..cuz dealer wont do anything.

it's a car..it's a daily driver...it'll happen :(
yeah and whatr sucks is when you spend the money to have something buffed out, you notice a new one a week later... I saw just be precautious, and fuck it...

10 year rule baby. haha
Took a piece of metallic road debris on the left rear tire. When it was done flinging around it left me with my first scratches

You know that clear plastic film that is applied near the rear wheel opening? Yeah, went through that and down to primer, also a nice cut out of the rocker piece.

I was playing hooky from work, so I deserve it. (Car-mic Retribution theory)

huh?
Filled my hood chips in with touch up, and used Langka to smooth em out. Not pristine, but you have to look to see where they were. Good enough for me.
None yet on my car (Only had it for a week!) But when i turned in my 2004 MZ3 after 3 years it had only one tiny dink on the right rear door, a few chips on the front bumper, and little chips on the lower rear fender flares that were barely noticeable. I was surprised how well the paint held up on it for such a cheap car. Hoping this car will be the same. Thinking about getting a clear bra put on in the aforementioned high chip areas.

Wow, how did you get a dink on the rear door?
j/k
Nothing yet. Have had my car since the 17th. I've put 444 miles on it since too, so it's not like I don't drive it. I'm just lucky, I park in a secured, underground parking garage at work (I get the excellent parking spots due to being here before everyone else, so NO ONE parks next to me) go home and park in a garage. When I do go to other places, I park way out in the middle of nowhere, a little walking never hurt.

But I know it's bound to happen...I'm just dreading the day...
I have some chips by the fuel door and scraping under the front bumper valance. There's also a small dent in the roof that's hardly noticable. Don't know how the hell it got there. :x
I have a scratch/gouge/ding all the way down to the plastic? of the door. looks like somebody katana'ed my car with a screwdriver. Came with a deep gouge and a few dints underneath it. I think it was a kid on a bike or something. I'll post pics when I get home from work.
