3 door Mazda 3? Dont get me wrong i think the 5 door "3" looks really aggressive and sleak but i think it would look even better if it were a 3 door hatch.

What do yall think?

Not for now - not for 12-18mths at least, if at all. Besides 5DR HBs are more practical and sell more than 3DR HBs.
I would like to see a coupe version before a 3dr hb.

dito on the coupe
You guys are funny. It doesn't make sense financially for Mazda to make a coupe when the 3 sedan and HB are both great sporty cars and with more room and practicality than a coupe.

But you already knew that. Because it's not the 1st time I said it) :)
It doesn't matter if it's good for mazda, we're just dreaming, and I for one would like to drive a coupe while I am still young =)
coming from a 300zx and mr2...i'm glad the mazda3 is a sporty 4/5 door. i for one have had enough of the lack of space and am looking forward to owning another car where the rear passengers don't require me to move my seat just so that they can get into theirs (and just being able to fit rear passengers at all).

Yep! 89 Tercel 4D HB and 93 Civic 2DR HB were not roomy to say the least. Love the Protege's size and the 3 should be right there (a bit longer and taller and wider).

While 2DR coupes might look cool they are a PITA to live with.

300ZX+MR2 - wow! Wish I could have a 300ZX...
I'm sticking with a coupe. (wishful thinking)
I would like to see RX-8 doors on the 3. Kind of a coupe feeling without the hassle of getting out, moving the seat foward, moving it back, getting back, shutting the door, and putting the seat belt back on.
Yeah!! That would be sweet.
I asked Mazda Canada to provide us with heated seats, xenon lights and Altenza back lights. I also told them that I Liked the car, and that our taste (french canadian: style, Hatchback) were mutch in par with the European. The replied this:

"Thanks for the comments with regards to the Mazda3. It is difficult to build a vehicle that meets the wide range of consumers that we encounter in Canada. You are right about the attitudes of the French towards European vehicles and styling. We have enjoyed great success with the Protegé and Protegé5 as a result.

I will pass your comments on to the Product Development department for consideration on future Mazda3 models.

Regards,

Mazda Canada Inc."

Hope they answer positively with my suggestions.

*shrug* at least they replied. THey're a massive company, one person saying that probably doesn't do much... but it never hurts.
Now I see why aftermarket companies are making a killing. Big companies don't really listen to what the little ppl want. O well there lost.
