Running a wattage that high risks doing bad things like melting your connectors and wiring harness.
another fog light option?
I was at Wal-mart today and noticed a replacement bulb for offroad lights. It's a 100w bulb. I was wondering if these could be easily retrofitted into the stock round fogs. Instead of swapping in a whole new assembly.
I haven't taken apart the fog housing to see what kind of bulb they use, so maybe that is a bad idea.

fair enough...although melting wires seems extreem for a 50 watt upgrade but connectors yeah
There was another member who was running 100W headlight bulbs (our are rated at 55W, I believe). They melted his connectors up pretty badly. I'd shy away from running higher-wattage bulbs in the stock housings.
