That's the way to go!
I must admit, I'm bad. I leave mine on all the time. I have a remote starter on my car when when I start the car the angel eyes turn on, off and then back on again with in a second or two. It's been 2 years though and no problems.
Oh btw, good job on getting them installed. I know it's a nerve racking experience. I've installed 9 sets now and get nervous every time!
