are you sure you have the actual alarm system? Even the cars with just keyless entry will honk if you hit lock twice on the remote. Try locking the car with the remote and unlocking it with the key and opening the door. If it doesn't go off you probably don't have an alarm.

When i lock my car, then lock it again so the horn honks, shouldnt the alarm go off if i do something to the car?

I think only the GT has an alarm system.
