Is anyone aware of a another source, other than Mazda, for brake pads? Although I have no proof to support it, I'm beginnning to think the cheap organic pads may be the issue with the squeeling problem that have been mentioned a number of times. A semi-metalic pad may help reduce the dust issue as well.

The Mazda6 guys are having the same problems with squeaking/squealing and lots of brake dust.

Porterfield is the company we prefer to deal with, as their R4-S pads offer better stopping power, no noise, and MUCH less dust than factory. At this time, Porterfield doesnt have an application for the Mazda3, but we will be sending them a set of stock front and rear pads for prototyping.

for more info on Porterfield, go to:

I used to run AEM pads with the Hondas I owned. I would try them on the Mazda3 as well.

If any of you guys know where to get pads NOW, please post - the dealer is replacing my rear rotors and I would like to have them add better pads. So if you are aware, let us know...
