Hello this is a question that I make for all you mazda3 owners that have a bypass valve installed or had it installed in the past to your intake.

Is there any performance loss
Is there any sound loss

I know the positive side to a bypass valve, I want to know the negative but from experience please,
Thanks

I currently have an AEM intake with bypass valve. There is maybe a .01% power reuduction vs. no valve. As for sound, very quiet...until you hit the gas, then it sounds like a jet engine. The install and cutting required for install is very easy as well. I did it myself with a hack saw for aluminum and a round file for rough edges. Its a wise move.
