I'm getting ready to order a FMIC as soon as I decide on the COBB or CPE, But am looking for any intall tips on either of these and any other issues along with the install. My friend has a garage with all the tools I could possibly need. I heard that with the COBB you had to cut some of the bumper to fit? what about the cpe?
thanks

I'm pretty sure the only thing you'll need to cut with Cobb's is two small tabs that serve no purpose.

That's what I was thinking, only real difference I see is about $100, just curious how the installs are for both of them. I also notice they both have the flanges for HKS BOV and wasn't sure if I can get just the BOV or will I still have to buy the kits for it?

the tabs are there to hold the stock ambient temp sensor wire in place...you can always cut those tabs and zip tie the wires somewhere else....cobb says you relocate the sensor to the side of the car

i know with the cobb you have to buy the flange for the HKS...it uses the stock flange

i believe it is the same with the cp-e kit

well I order the HKS SSQ BOV from SU and think I'm going to put that on until I make a decision. Not to mention I don't have the time right now to do much of any work on my speed. I am leaning towards the CPE FMIC though.
