Hello everyone. Wasn't sure where to put this - so many different areas out there. Can any of you who purchased your car new from the dealer share your experience on how long to expect the battery (2025 - size) to last? The manual states to replace it yearly, but I'm wondering if that is overkill?

My honest opinion I'd say that's overkill. Though I've never had a Mazda with AKE, I know on '13-'14 Subaru Outback/Legacy and Acura '09+ TL, '05+ RL, '13+ RDX, '14+ MDX and RLX they will tell you on the dash when the AKE fob is running low on battery power.

I get about 3 years. I replace when I get the low battery light.
