now we just need the info on the manual. Preferrably the manual with better tires than the stock POS rs-a's.
All the people with Mazda6 S auto can only get their car in low 16s to mid 16s. Nobody got into high 15s so far with MZ6s auto. So I doubt MZ3 auto would be same. 160 vs. 220 horses.funkyfreshmonke said:im not sure if its that accurate, top speed is 125? when the limiter only lets it go to 118? 16.8? i could have sworn are autos can go at least 16.5 or 16.4 ....but still pretty good i guess?
but mazda 3 is abt 200 lbs lighter than mazda 6 autoHaris said:All the people with Mazda6 S auto can only get their car in low 16s to mid 16s. Nobody got into high 15s so far with MZ6s auto. Ahh, I thought it was like 400 lbs. weight difference. Heh. MZ6 has like 60 more HP and 42 ft.lbs. of torque. No way MZ3 AT will beat MZ6 AT. If it does beat it, it sucks for MZ6 AT owners. :lol:anonymous_wolf said:but mazda 3 is abt 200 lbs lighter than mazda 6 autoHaris said:All the people with Mazda6 S auto can only get their car in low 16s to mid 16s. so it is still possible...
In Australia atleast, the 2.3L MZ3 and the MZ6 have similar gearing ratios according to the brochures. The gearing can make a HUGE difference in drag racing. If the 3 is geared more aggressively it could totally happen.

Completely stock, 5 speed, no options but AC and spoiler, 2.0 liter sedan i. I am the one on the left. Thats about the best launch i could get out of the thing and it was a near flawless launch, if you were able to get a .000 reaction time thats like a 15.9 qtr mile. I think if driven right the i can keep right up with the s.
Hmmm. Good job there - redlining the 3 as soon as you bought it. Do it a few more times to thoroughly and systemmatically destroy that nice engine under the hood. Who needs it anyway?PaPa said:well
i got my 2.0 today
i had a nice straight away, decided to rev it like a motha fu*&a
in second gear it red lined at 110 km/h
because i didnt go to third gear i saved about a half second
im going to time it but it seemed as tho my 2.0 did about 7.8 seconds
