It could also be the paneling that covers the inside of your trunk lid, or the ledge behind the back seats> I think thats were I am getting a lot of the rattleing from

Spot on mate...

I fixed the problem last night....

It was the ledge behind the back seat rattling against the glass....

Ive got that same issue...and its REALLY bad...ive managed to fix it to the point of no rattles now though. Really the only culprit was that plastic cover in the back. I popped off all the little pop rivets and stuffed a bunch of polystuff like pillow stuffing in there so that helped that aspect. It was still bouncing upinto the window tho so i stuff a couple of t-shirts between the plastic and the window as a temporary solution :)

Real solution? Rip the plastic thing off the rear deck, throw some sound deadening onto the rear deck, then finish it any which way you would like :)

can someone please walk me through the easiest way to remove the plastic pannel covering the rear deck on the 3 sedan :?:

I want to apply some sound deading material to both sides of the metal (from the underneith by going through the trunk and from above then reinstall the plastic cover. This might be the best way to solve most of the interior rattles.

(Insulating behind the rear seats on that hard plastic trim is another area that needs some attention).

:)

I'd be interested in knowing how that panel comes outta there. I'm getting to the point of going back to the dealer and paying them to remove it for me, take it home, Dynamat it & stuff some foam back there & re-installing the rear deck myself. No one seems to know how to remove that plastic deck lid in this forum or Axela.

If you look at your rear seats, then move up and look at your rear seats head rests... right behind them and under the back winshield is a big plastic peice that the seatblets go thorugh, and the middle seat belt, that big plastic peice bounces up and down and hits our back windshield in the very back crevace.... Hope that helps you find it.

Oh good, so how do we fix it? I have no clue how to open up the rear deck to deaden it.
