My grill got busted at mazda again.. and this time they said they will not fix it.. not to get into that story... I was bored and started looking on ebay looks like someone has made a grill that will work for 04-06 hatchbacks! I ordered it and can update once i get it... but thought I would share

one more to bid on.. I did buy now.. I'm sure more will show up

Already got the small lip out the way so no more cutting the bumper or the grill...

The view from the front is not bad, but the back looks horrible.

I guess my standards are higher having a show car, would be hard to clean around on the inside, could possibly cut your hands, fingers on the mesh wire.

Might be a good idea to put something around the wire mesh, around the edges like some rubber trim.

Good price though.

on my old one, i put some carpet there.. but that was to protect the paint on the bumper... I agree the back isnt excellent, but my cars not for show... well it is but not to win anything

I've been looking at this grille for a while now. I wonder if the mesh is actually black or left unpainted? The ad makes no mention.

Probably black, if not you can just paint it black anyhow... I'll let you know, It seems to say it can take up to 3 weeks...

i had bought mine about 1 or 2 months ago off ebay. the seller is no longer on there, but the down side of getting this grille is that you have to cut your bumper..... real bummer...

but im gettin a new one so who cares!

Sorry people, I didnt see this... unfortunately I still do not have the grill... I plan to email the seller and ask him whats going on, I did ask him about shipping and he told me ETA was 10th (which has clearly passed) but as its coming from china/japan I guess I have to give it a couple more days which is what I have done.

Don't worry once I have it this will be updated with everything I find out about it. one thing I didnt notice until after was it looks like it has no hardware so that could be an interesting task.

thats fine if its the case, but i mean on the grill it self looks like its just holes and not something to screw into.. (if that makes sense)

are you sure that this is a modification on the grill tha will safe the cutting part ???

never heard of an open mouth that did that...

if its true i'm already sold !!!!

Based on the picture I will say yes its true.. but I am still waiting for it,

I emailed them yesterday and they have shipped a second one to me with tracking info.... I guess another 2 weeks....

thats the thing.. it got broke at 2 dealerships, 1st time was in florida they 'repaired' it... and the other dealership (in GA) they said the 1st one did a crap job and will not fix it for me this time...
