I did a search and all that came up was a poll btw 2.5' and the 6 inch antenna. Im looking at this enigma stubby antenna sponsor and i have a winning blue Hatchback, i was wondering between these two, the two which he is selling which looks better or which one people perfer on their mazda3.

i think the 2.5" one looks a little too short. i'd go with the 3.5" one.

I got the 3.25" one. I still think it's too short. I would like if it's 6" of the same design.

Compared to 2.5", I'd go for 3.25"/3.5" one.

How do you install those stubby antennas?

Could someone tell me how you install those antennas? Can you do it yourself or does it require professional installation, like by a dealer? I think they look cool and I was thinking about getting one maybe when I get my 3. I already like the stock antenna but wouldn't mind a stubby. Also, does the stubby antenna reduce the FM radio signal since it's shorter and smaller?

Just got the 2.5 in the mail last week (ordered it from this site's sponser) and I think it looks perfect. I love the fact that it looks like there's almost no antenna at all. JMO, but the smaller the better with that antenna position. I live in the middle of a metro area so I haven't had any reception problems.

I see references to stubby antennas all the time and I am wondering what the appeal is. I just read one thread where people have been getting theirs stolen. Doesn't the MZ3 already have a short antenna? I guess I would need to see one in person to see what the big deal is. Is reception better or something with a stubby? I am just curious.

My reception is crappy now that I have a stubby on but it looks damn cool. If I were to go on a trip or something I'd put the old long one back on but for just driving around town I have enough cd's to keep me happy.
