Does anyone know whether 205/55-16s will fit an 08 MS3 for a winter set up? Tirerack recommends 205/60s and 215/55s for 16 inches wheels but I can get a deal on steelies wearing 205/55s. Can't handle one more snowstorm on the bridgestones.

Many thanks,

many thanks for not beating me down for a repeat post.

if the 16" steelie has a 5x114.3mm bolt pattern and at least a 52.5mm positive offset, it should fit right? is there something else i should be asking the seller? thanks again.

205/55-16s for a winter setup?------------That's what the dealership put on my car. My factory set up is 205/50/17.......outside diameter of the rubber is (rim + 2(aspect ratio x tread width x 2.54). Keep the outside diameter close, quarter inch, and you'll be ok

205/55/16 will be ok, just make sure the steelies clear the front brake calipers. Not all steelies are the same, and it's known that some don't clear the front calipers.
