Hi, I noticed something wrong with the brake pedal. First, I felt a long braking distance when I used the brake pedal more frequently (i.e. traffic jam), brake pedal stiffness when I pressed the brake (before the brake switch), and the brake pedal was a bit tall. The issue is intermittent and sometimes works completely fine.
I had my mechanic, and Mazda checked it. Both said that it was normal.
My mechanic said the possible reason is a brake booster or maybe a bad brake switch. Has anyone experienced the same issue?
Follow the workshop manual. The brake pedal height should be 136mm, but mine is around 150mm. Any reasons causing a high brake pedal?
