Hi all,

I am going to be doing the brakes on my 2017 Mazda 3 next week (discs and pads front and back).

Have been doing some reading, but just wanted to make sure of a few small details with regards to the calipers:

For the front calipers: I open up the brake fluid reservoir, and then push the pistons STRAIGHT in (like with a C-clamp or something?), and then go ahead and install the new pads.

For the rear pistons: put the electronic parking brake in maintenance mode using the procedure with the accelerator pedal and the ebrake switch, and also there push the pistons STRAIGHT in?

Up until now I have usually had to use one of those rotating tools to reset the pistons, seems for the Mazda they go straight back in, with no rotating required? don't wanna end up blowing my E-brake motors out.

Thanks!
