I have a 2015 Mazda 3 Sport with stock 16 inch wheels and 205-60-16 tires that are wearing out. Somehow Michelin knew that I would buy this car and decided not to make Michelin Pilots in the stock size (they do that with cars I buy). I'm considering putting 215-55-16 tires on it, but my speedometer and wheel sensors will be over estimating speed by 1.6%, I'll lose some gas mileage and the tire might be wider than ideal for the rim. Alternative is to keep these wheels for my winter tires and buy new 18 inch wheels for the summer and get 215-45-18 tires (0.4 percent difference).

What say you?
Other options?

My math shows 1.4777%, regardless, that number is pretty close to irrelevant. I would have no qualms about putting the 215/55 R16s on your car.
