I have a 2008 Mazda 3 i Sport. I put the car in gear and try to drive away, and the car does nothing but rev up.
Now. If I crank up the car and put it in gear, and continue to hold the brake afterwards, the AT light comes on, then jumps from 1st to 3rd to 4th, back to 3rd, then finally to 1st. There will be slight jump from the car as if it went into gear, and then I can drive normally with the AT light still on.
After driving for about 5 minutes, the AT light goes off and I can put the car in manual mode to shift like I want to until recently.
Now when I start up the car, the AT light stays on and I can only drive in 1st and 2nd gear. There's no 3rd or 4th and a hard shift for Reverse, which works perfectly.
Anybody with these problems and do you have a solution to fix it?

*Power Braking will DISTROY the Torque converter and there goes the rest of the transmission. I suggest you take it to a shop that specializes in transmission service, but my guess is the transmission is likely already toasted!
