In China they don't offer the 2.3 so i bought the 2.0 and decided to create my own mazdaspeed.

many headaches with Turbo install, now isolated to throttle body closing between 3-4000 rpms...

tried switching the maf and the bov locations... helped slightly...
car has been sitting in the shop for 5 WEEKS...
It is a proffesional shop.... they have had many pros from other shops come and help with the tuning...YET HERE it SITS

I am in China, car made in Japan, I am from Texas
car is 9weeks old.... yes it's been in the shop most of the time....

REALLY REALLY REALLY NEED to get this solved... want to zoomzoom

added
high flow intake, 18"X8" rims 225X45 yokohoma ,
goes to factory in two days for prototype frp ground effects and carbon fin, eyebrows, rockerpanel, grill...will take them 2 days to complete...
then goes to sound shop for replacement of factory speakers,2 new headrests with 7" monitor, ps2,dvd, adding two ten subs and two highs in custom box frp carbon covered box that replaces the hatchback's interior cover slip, amp and crossover of course...
if you have any suggestions or ideas for Xtra bling feel free to mention them

just the intake and the mitsubishi tdo5..... they have tried different injectors, but i'm pretty sure they switched back. thew new intake is quite large certainly adequate, the owner isn't here(I sit at the shop 6 days a week everyday) and the mechanics no savvy englais por nada...so i will have to get back to you on injector and cfm of intake...
But, i can say it runs ok, untill the boost kicks in then it reads lean and shuts the gate on the thottle body...
anyway cost is not really an object but don't want to throw money on the floor either, so if a performance rated throttle body is will help overall performance and maybe fix the problem i have no problem getting it.... on the other hand if it will only maybe fix the problem and not actually increase performance, I'd be kinda ticked off for buying one and it didn't fix the problem...

i wanted to change the cams originally even before the thought of turbo came up, so if it's the consensus that it would only help and not hurt i'm game.... china doesn't have nos, doesnt have superchargers, hell the never even heard of ceramic coated headers, and a quality machine shop is unheard of... but we've got a branch office in dallas and can have any parts bought there and shipped here with relative ease i'm not trying to go a million miles an hour, or have a high maintainence beast on my hand.... I just want my car to be the best mazda3 in asia, and cool enough to get in magazines from here to back home...

basically skys the limit for enhancing performance while not complicating the ongoing tuning efforts, I tried to get them to do turbo supercharger combo, the shop owner insists it would be a tuning nightmare....the owner and the tuners are all taiwanese and speak english well enough, they have experience with turbos and tuning, only they say the operating system of the 2008.5 m3 is different than it's previous models...

I appreciate all your time and help,

what are you using for tuning? Standalone? piggy back? under any kind of boost new injectors are definatly needed or you will go lean.

tb shutting almost sounds like your hitting some sort of fuel cut. (that is if you are 100% the tb is shutting and not just the injectors cutting off).

the later gen 3's close the tb at the same time as fuel cut but thats for the speed limiter, so im not quite sure.. thats why i ask if your 100% sure the tb is closing.

when it comes to ceramic coating you dont want to coat inside and out if it is used. since you cant get coat in your area go with header wrap. people argue about this all of the time but wrap is good and it works.

alright the tb closing makes no fucking sense to me. second i mean you have a jap spec 3 which could be way different so we may not be able to help you too much. but assuming it is the same for the most part as the US spec 3 may have a few ideas. first take a couple pics of your engine bay and your set up so i know what everything looks like and where its located. second stock injectors are way to small. and what the hell are you using to tune, cause seems to me you dont have anything

2nd^^^

Buy a Kit, Reactive Racing kit is AMAZING. Shipping would be an arm and a leg, but it would get done fast and without all this headache. That is if the Japan spec is the same as the us spec like he said above, if so I would 100% be spending my money there right now.

I'm curious, why don't you want to ceramic coat it if it is used?
[/quote]
because if you ceramic coat inside on a used one and there are tiny cracks it will just make it worse. just coat the outside. inside isnt dramatically better

If he isn't using anything to tune his car, as soon as the boost builds up, you will experience fuel cut and you will lose power until the RPM's come back down.... correct? So getting something to tune it with, get the A/F mixture right, and then u are set... might want to get bigger injectors and dare not boost more than 10psi on stock internals.

no offense....people who dont know what there talking about shouldnt give input to people's threads cause its not helping. he has to run bigger injectors i dont no what size stock is but aftermarket 36lb get maxed out at 6psi on a 28r. and dont say dare not boost more than 10psi stock motor, because 10psi is not 10psi dude, he is using a td05 which is a cute little stock turbo. he could prolly run 16psi to be the same as runninb 6psi on my gt28r

Your gears won't look too good after you finish with this tiny little turbo...

has greddy ultimate emanager... but will get specific on everything tomorrow(11 hours time difference) with pictures, as the tuning specialist is coming and will let him fill in the blanks and specifics... i must admit i am a bit lost in the technical facets of the tuning world, always had pre-1970 classic muscle cars when you could have a turbo and not need or want for a computer (my first car was a 1964 corvair spyder with factory turbo) i appreciate youtuning in and helping me out on this exasperating problem

I would say its the O2 sensor readouts that are causing the ECU to close the throttle, or the MAF is not reading something right. Our cars dont deal well with large MAF housings - How big is the intake?
