Nissan likes to tout the fact that the nearest competitor in the segment with a paddle-shift transmission is the GTI, at a $4k premium. However, comparing VW/Audi's delectable DSG to a CVT with artificial ratios is a like saying that Rosie O'Donnell is as hot as Pamela Anderson, just because they share the same cup size.

The main reason I prefered the STI over the EVO was because the EVO looked taller and longer and that just screams "I can't take a corner without active yaw control!" to me, and it was true. It's no different with this one. Forget all the modifcations, it doesn't even look like a sports car to begin with. No amount of modification will change the fact that it looks like a boat that will tilt and scream with agony at the slightest curve.

it needs a new body.
copying the nissan altima, then smashing it into a 20,000 dollar body size, then calling it an SE-R
will get you no where.

they will see their sales are not going to be good. then hopefully they will redesign it.
they couldve copied.... anything else.

It certainly isn't a great looking car, but it isn't ugly. It's definitely better looking than any previous Sentra's, IMHO.

I'm pretty sure it's faster than the SI. It really doesn't take much. Having to whine that torqueless motor up all the time to get any kind of performance is a disadvantage. As for looks, the SI wants to look too much like Prius. I'd take the Sentra over it.
