2005 Mazda 3... When?

Out of interest, why would you wait for the 2005 model? If the has 3 been out a while in Japan and by June been out in NA for 7months or so I would think any major bugs would've been reported by the time you were planning to buy..

simply because if a newer version is about to be out I'd rather get that. Looks like I'll be going for a 2004 model. And from what I can tell the Kenstyle body kit for the sedan is looking rather nice. Might have to get that...

if he has to wait till june anyways, might as well just hold off another few months for the 2005. thats what i would do as well, could have different/more options available, different look...who knows!

yeah, i probably would have waited if i could have too. first year models always have bugs and seconds years tend to be a bit better than the firsts.

don't know for the State, but in Canada, new yr model usually comes out on Oct or Nov.

I'm sort of in the same boat, ie, trading in the 'teg for a mz3. My initial time frame is around July-Aug, since this should amount to approximately 3 rounds of firmware updates (I read from somewhere in this forum that it's every 3 months, the first one being sometime in Jan'04) but I can be flexible. I think this should be enough time for most of the bugs to be worked out. As for the '05 MY, although it would be nice to see what changes may be in store, a 2nd year car is usually quite similar to its predecessor, & there'll likely be not much of a discount compared to a year-end model. Besides, it would be winter & I won't be able to have as much fun with the new car :? .

I am very much in the same boat.

I have an '03 Vibe and it's sort of lost it's appeal as of late, and am looking at the MZ3 and the MP5 to repalce it if the chance arrives.

The MZ3 is such a nicer car than the Vibe, and the tuning options are surely there. I never knew such options existed for the MP5 (I was floored when I found out what kind of following it had) and I could probably get a P6+ Turbo for less than my Vibe was, and even less than a MZ3.

I hope information starts getting leaked on the '05 MZ3, would surely help me decide on what to do

You'd think ... I am anxiously waiting to hear about this info, as it could decide whether or not I get a 3 ...

honestly tho i cant see there being much of a difference. maybe a few bugs fixes that were present in this year's model, and perhaps in canada we'll get a couple features that arent available on the 04's. im hoping for the climate control and navi personally. i think it'll be at least '06 before any major changes happen

I agree, I'm planning to get one later in around Sept/Oct to see what the '05 model has to offer, if nothing different, hope for the '04 to get a price drop =)

And of course I would get the chance to save up more to put down for a downpayment

I love the M3 and I've contacted the people from MazdaUSA and they say the 2005's will be out in September...so as much as I want one now I'm waiting for the 05's to hit and hopefully they will have fixed a few annoying little problems. Great car but if you are going to spend 17,000-20,000 you might as well wait on the new ones!

i'm also waiting for the 05's . . . i dont think mazda will change anything with the body, well probably minor things . . . but i do think they will be seriously looking at changing around the options and maybe even the cloth options. i can't wait though . . . i hope the new ones are comin' out in sept. b/c that's when i was planning on purchasing mine. :0) i totally can't wait !!!!1

Get on the boat guys, I already sold my '92 Integra and got a black hatch 3 You boys with tegs have some catching up to do.

Wait until the 05 comes out and get a smokin deal on an 04
