After driving a 1991 Lexus ES250 for 5 years I have finally gotten my second car, a 2004 Mazda 3s. I love this thing, the suspension is almost as good as my dads Mini Cooper S. Unexpected power too, i am impressed. Only thing i dont like is the cheap paint.

Options:

-Titanium Gray
-Automatic/Manual
-Black Leather

I had a list of stuff I was going to do to it, but i have it narrowed down to the following:

-Borla Exhaust
-HID Lights
-Tint

Sounds like someone has made a visit to the used elephant lot. Did the cheap refer to the quality or color?

I'm guessing quality, I imagine that even used elephants aren't cheap.

I scraped and saved for 5 years and i bought this 04 used from a friend. Its new to me, and it certainly wasnt cheap haha. $12,500 with 52k.

I was refering to the paintjob quality as being a bit disappointing. Ive seen a lot of negative comments about the paint peeling and chipping easily, and i can relate to that.

But its still under warranty so im in the process of getting it taken care of.

Also does everyone else have rock chips on lower-back sills on rear doors?

I, certainly, was not suggesting your new baby was cheap. As usual, mndsm is confused. :?

The Velo Hatch has no paint problems - except a chip/ding on the hood that mysteriously appeared while I was out of town and my SO was alone with it. :angrypoint: The VRs have a 3 step paint - I wonder if that has anything to do with it?
