The new AAA Auto Guide: 2004 New Cars and Trucks is now out and the Mazda 3 received the award for Best Car Under $15,000. The editors also gave the car a stellar review and ended by pretty much stating the MZ 3 will send Honda and Toyota packing and back to the drawing boards! Check it out next time your in a bookstore.

Nice award but trying to get a Mazda 3 under $15,000 would be quite a feat unless you want a bear bones car. But where is the excitement with that? :?:

Well, other than a Kia or Hyundai just about any car you get for under $15 grand is goinf to be bare bones. Those catagories are set by what the price for a base model is, nothing more.

Yeah, you're right about the base price thing. Should be more like best under 20,000. I paid about 18,700 for mine! Obviously, that's slightly higher than 15 grand!
