Yep, mica3speedy is right. They sell them here in Europe. We get 3 petrol engines and 1 diesel. A 1.4L with 84HP and 122Nm, a 1.6 with 105HP and 145Nm and a 2.0L with 150HP and 187Nm. The diesel is 1.6MZ-CD with 109HP and 240Nm.
Lately arrived the MPS with the 2.3L turbo engine and 260HP and 380Nm.
Since I own the 1.6L, the manufacturer says (L/100km) 8.9(city)-6.1(motorway)-7.1(combined) of consumption. I live in a city without much traffic, so driving is rather calm. In motorways, my consumption varies between 4.5 to 7.5 L/100km. In the city, 6.5 to 9. I know it is less than what the manufacturer says but since we don't have traffic jams, there is a constant flow of cars and no stop-start every 5sec routines. My trip computer has 6.7L/100km average consumption and with full gas it estimates from 680 to 860 km range.
I got a 2005 1.6 diesel 3 and loving every second of driving it.
Fuel consumption is absolutely wicked considering how "peppy" is actually is. Managed to hit the 1000km marker on a single tank of gas (eg: below 5L/100km) - (took quite an effort regarding restraint on my side though, and will most like never be able to do that again... ). Haven't been able to get over 6.25L/100km so far (I currently commute 100km to and from work every day and do not refrain from "stepping on it").
Runs like a charm and has a very generous turbo. <3
