As someone who is currently running MT/AT through his head all the time (don't try to convince, I already know all the arguments ) It would be nice to see how the MT/AT 1/4mile times compare to eachother.

True. However, we have to get a couple more people out to the track to compare average/best times. Driver's have a lot to do with it. Where does one find a track. I am curious. I also talked to a guy on another forum I frequent who has a RSX-s. I asked him to race, so we'll see how interesting mt AT will be against him. :twisted: (BTW, I'm f-ed)

Thanks The looks i was getting from some of the guys at the track when i did my 15.5 was sooooo funny.......i think i shocked quite a few people actually, even myself!!

I am taking it out on the motorkhana trach tomorrow so ill let you know how it goes

That would surely mean a +12 to +15 horsepower gain, which could drop your times of another 0.3 to 0.5s, no?

Ahhh I can't wait to get on the strip!

Wow, i own you all. 16.1 seconds with a completely stock M3 2.0liter. 44lbs of pressure in the tires and less the spare tire. I will post time slip in a minute or so. This was my 2nd pass of the day and it was at the highschool drags so i had been waiting in line for 200+ cars each pass. The best way to launch is hold at 3000rpms and give equal clutch for equal gas. I burned the tires before each run, which i now regret because i had rubber stuck to my fenders but it was very cool.

I hate to say that but I got the same 1/4 speed as Mandy, except the fact that I probably got a damn LOT of Wheel Spin !! (89.33mph = 142.93kph) !! With better tires I would have been able to break under 15.5s !!!

OK, there is something seriously wrong with my car, I'm convinced!

Race City here in Calgary is 3500ft above Sea Level, not great obviously but even taking .4-.5 off of the ET for the elevation I'm way out to lunch here! I'm an experienced Drag Racer and with the Auto it's a no brainer but I was embarrased out there today! I am positive even with a MT it wouldn't be that much better. Check my runs out!

Runs 2 & 3 were done with the manumatic, shifting at about 6500. I'm a fat bastard @ 235 pounds but I think this is a bit silly... All runs were with about a 1/4 tank of fuel...

OK common, a full 2 seconds faster from my best run? Even if I dropped a full second off for my weight and altitude I'm still way off. The 5 Speed isn't going to do that, maybe 3/10ths. I've raced enough to know.

I say I'm heavy at 235 but with my build and height I'll never be any less than 205-210 so that 20 pounds isn't going to help that much... Somethings not right though, it really felt like it layed over in first, I'm wondering if there isn't something to this dicussion about the car running slower with a 1/4 tank or less...
