I took my 3 in for an oil change at 38k. They said there was a tear in the upper engine mount and it would be $220 to fix it, he said it wasn't under warranty. Anyone else have this happen on their 3? Why wouldn't it be covered under the standard powertrain warranty? It seems odd. I held back on replacing it, he said it was causing a leak but I never noticed one before..

for mazda canada, the motor mounts are clearly mentioned in the powertrain warranty.
you should have warranty information in your book.

That should definitely be covered under warranty. It's a relatively common problem though, so they're probably not lying about it being broken like that.
