'07 Galaxy Gray s Sport for me!!!!! from Tracy Mazda.

Well, I'll start with the bad news. Over the weekend the radiator cap cam loose on my '91 Rx7 while I was driving on the freeway. Anyone who's owned a rotary engine knows where this is going... all coolant ejected immediately (I didn't know this or see any smoke, because I was going 65ish) the temp gage spiked in a matter of seconds and the car died. By the time I looked under the hood there was coolant mixed with fuel coming out the side of my engine   :(.

The good news is I had been poking around this site and checking out Mazda 3s for some time, and I was getting ready to go for a new one. I emailed and called some dealers yesterday looking for prices on an s Sport or s Touring with a manual transmission. The only manual s Sport I could find in Northern California was at Tracy Mazda. I called them up and they immediately quoted me $500 below invoice.

I asked them to break it down and they went through this with me on the phone:

Invoice: $16001

Price: $15501

Destination: $595

Taxes and Licence: $1557 (based on my tax rate of 8.250% (Burlingame CA, it sucks.)

Total out the door: 17653

I was happy with that price, especially since I haven't seen s Sports with the MT around that often, and this one was Galaxy Gray with black interior which were both my 1st choice. Also no BS options like wheel locks (I can get them myself). Basically the exact car I wanted in stock at a reasonable price.

Tracy Mazda was great to deal with, honored their quote over the phone which was handled by Dave Brown the Sales Manager. Salesman was Joe Louie who didn't do much selling, since we already had a price. He was friendly on the test drive, and professional all the way through. Answered all my questions and stayed late without rushing.

I qualified for 1.8% financing for 36 months and put $5000 down. Payments are around $380/mo.

All in all I am stoked about the purchase. Thanks to Tracy Mazda and my Dad who rode all the way to Tracy after work and sat around until 9:45 while I got the deal done.

:D :) :D 8) 8) :p :klavergreg: :klavergreg: :klavergreg: :D :) :klavergreg: :woot!

congrats....we need some pics though....even some of the rx-7 would be nice :)
That's not a bad OTD. And as a car entusiast in general, I am sorry to hear about the RX. My brother had an 85 witha 13b, and that car was wild. I loved it.

Yea, it was a really good car when it was running right. Aftermarket headers and exhaust + convertible = loud as hell. Just a fun car to drive in general.
Excellent choice! Do sign in to our GG thread when you get the chance, and pics!

That a real Judge or just a clone?

On second thought, not seeing the stripes or the wing. Damn. Looks Judge orange in that pic.

It's actually a '69 Firebird, not a GTO. I've had it since I was 16 years old, so almost 10 years now. The color is original. It's the most reliable car I've ever owned. At least until now hopefully!
