I have a 04 Mazda 3 with a 5 speed-and I was driving and was about to go into reverse gear to back up and park then my Reverse gear start to grind. It was working perfectly but a day after it just started to grind when I try going into Reverse. All my other gears work perfect except my reserves I been trying to find help and looking at YouTube videos, I don’t know if it’s the linkage or somthing else.

As I understand it, reverse is the only gear not synchronized -- that's why you sometimes have to release and press the clutch pedal again to have it "drop" into reverse. If it's started grinding with entry attempts, I wonder if your clutch is isn't fully disengaging from the flywheel. Is your brake fluid reservoir full?

Edit: clarified that failure of the clutch disc to disengage the flywheel would keep things spinning that shouldn't stay spinning when you're attempting reverse.
