I have 2007 GX stock, ATX, i do about 13.5 seconds

I saw a vid on youtube where a guy did 6.5 seconds or so, http://youtube.com/watch?v=tLaKXyDuOxs

Im thinking he must have a whole new engine in there, or did a stupid amount of mods.

0-60mph stock should only take about 8 seconds for us.

yeah i don't red line it tho, i'm a bit cautious. most i've done is around 5500

what engine do you have in your car?

like kspec said, it should be around the 8 sec range for the 2.0 and 2.3.

GX model has the 2.0 hmm maybe on a good day ill try it. a little snowy right now

dont be too scared! its a mazda. thats what i think in my head.
mazdas are sporty.

do you drive your car much? cause 7-10 years is a long time, i mean this is my first mazda, but depending on how often you drive i dont think alot of cars will last you 10 years. im pretty sure you will be fine redline everyonce and awhile

i put in roughly 1000 kms a month, im afraid i dont know the amount of miles that is, but i fill my tank roughly 2 times a month, well 3 right now due to snow. my moms 97 altima is still kicking, my brother drives it now.

how old are you? just curious. o well than at that rate which doesnt seem like a lot if you only fill up like 2-3 times a month you prolly would get 10 years out of it. jeez i fill up like 2-3 times a week

for the 2.3 I'd say a bit lower - like 7.5 or something.

yeah 7.5 seconds on a manual...closer to 8 on an automatic.

can't do a regular post, and was asking about the 6.5 seconds i saw on youtube. when i did my 3.5, i did first shift around 5500, after that around 4000-5000

I can do it in 5.8......... :twisted: Is it possible that the guy on Youtube had a Speed3? Also was the body modified at all? I can see extreme weight savings (no seats, carbon this, lightweight that) taking a second off on it.

Can you post a link to the video so we can see the car in question?

It is possible its a speed 3, altho i dont know if they have the same dash and red line. I cant see it reducing that much without doing some heavy mods just by redlining.

the mazdaspeed3 outside the US has a speedometer limit of 138mph?

I believe 0-100km/h will go in about 9 seconds with a stock car... (2.0-16v)
But this option i couldn't choose :wink:
