Got a place near where I live to do that but have never tried... no fwd = no way I'm going to risk it. I have some colleagues with the Subaru club who did it, 2/3 of them wrecked their bumpers before the end of the day lol

That is pretty awesome though. Studded tires?

isnt that what bumpers are suppose to do? haha I have my fair share of bumper repairs. Yup those are winters with street studs. I lose out on the more agressive stud guys :(

wonder if anyone else in the forum does ice or dirt rally and what tips on how they set their car up.

Mine has a 2CM lift stock sway and BC racing coilovers (they are not that durable especially the rear shocks) Alignment is 0 toe all round and -1.8 camber on rear and front around -1.5

I would be seriously surprised if anyone else on here was doing any rally. Guess you never know though. I would really love to do this, but only if my speed3 was a dedicated track/rally car, not my DD.

I"ve done rallycross in a miata. It was at stock rideheight on coilovers that are 400f and 250r rates. It didn't bottom out but a stock suspension one would have. I've considered running my stock suspension 2008 mazda3 but would never take the mazdaspeed3. The cars that are that low WILL get messed up.

Guess that's the advantage of a frozen lake... nice and flat!

I know there's definitely a few people who do auto-x and track days, I think you're the first person i've come across who does rally-x :p

And since when are you a mod cab0oze? hahaha

This was at a just for fun event I did a couple of years ago at our local fairground. The car was completely stock at the time, but it did manage to win against the other 2wd cars. I'd love to get more into some rally type stuff with this car. I've never had so much fun on a track before. If you want to see a guy in a 3 getting serious on the dirt, look up Hendo711 on here and he's got videos on youtube.
