2017-Mazda3 This week Mazda replaced the back-up camera and its harness, under warranty.
So far it is working fine.

2017-Mazda3 My 2017 M3 hatchback started having intermittent glitches with the backup camera. This happened around Oct. 2019.
Most of the time the problem would go away after a while. Sometimes I had to disconnect the battery to fix it.

On Monday (2 March 2020) the car went to the dealer.

They said one harness and a control module needs to be replaced and that Mazda wants them to send the bad parts to CA for analysis????????

They have a module here in Houston but have to wait for the new harness to come from CA.
I will update when the car is fixed(if this solves the problem.)

Back-up camera

2017 Mazda-3, automatic. Now and then, the reverse back-up camera doesnít work. The shop shrugs their shoulders if the problem isnít happening when I bring it in.
Iíve tried jiggling the shift lever in the reverse position, but doesnít help.
1) Is there a mechanical contact under shift lever for the reverse position? Or is this a computer problem?
2) Is there an on-line parts/components diagram?
