2016 Build #1- 2012 MS3 for STX nationally

Why? Why not. I'm building the car to have some fun and do track stuff with.

So the plans are to make a bit more power (safely) to have more fun on track and in AX (pro solo mainly) and to make it stick.

I've got the Corksport short intake and turbo inlet pipe on it now and the #2 cat delete for power.

For suspension it's got the JBR race rear bar with some older Tripoint links. Corksport camber plates on stock shocks and cut springs (yeah yeah I know).

Wheels I have 2 sets of 17x9s and a set of 17x8s.

Tires is up in the air. I've got some old Rival 245s and 225s as well as V720 225s. Will try stones this year as well. Rain setup is the 245 Michein PSS.

In the future I'll be putting on some BC coilovers. Deciding between digressive single sweep (rebound and small compression) adjustment, the ER doubles I ran on the 2008 STF car...or a set of their ZR triple adjustables.

Time and money will tell.

I'm also looking for a good crossflow or dual pass radiator as well as pricing out good LSD options for 2017.

How did you like the ER Doubles from the other car? I'm looking at getting them and would like some more opinions. Any chance you still have them? Not sure what happened to your old STF car.
Also does anyone know if a Koni or bilstein Double adjustable would fit into a generic coilover housing? Since AWR doesn't make them anymore this would be the only option.

The ER was awesome. I'll probably go with them again for clearance reasons. the ZR has a banjo fitting on the top of the strut that HAS to be there to adjust the compression. The ER only has the rebound knob (which I remove to gain the clearance I need But I'm going to get a set custom made again since they were awesome before. Lots of adjustment range and whatnot

So as soon as my contact at BC can get back to me about my plans for this year I'll be putting in an order. I hope to have the suspension on the car within 2 months to do my testing.

IN THE MEANTIME...I've ordered some stuff from Corksport:

downpipe with cat:

single exit exhaust:

Intake airbox (I already have the intake and TIP):

So next up will be an access port and a few custom tunes

I have some 255/40-17 Kumho V720s coming for testing so we'll see how they do. Tried the 225 Kumhos last weekend and they seem to do great with the heat so I'm excited.

June I have a track day at COTA so I'll get to break out the track rotors and DTC-60s again. Should be a fun year.

I need to order a new seat bracket to put the Ultrashield seat in this car It was awesome in the STF car.

Yours is still sitting in my basement, I'm yet to get seats. I'm happy to sell it back to you if you'd like.

Sell back to me for the same $100 shipped I sold it for? If it still has all the steel bolted on it that would be awesome

Either way I need it ASAP.

I haven't played with it all. Still has the spacers and tape on it.

Tried the new 255 Kumho v720s I got this week today. They work great. Faster than bridgestones? I dunno about that. But within 0.5 I'd say. For sure faster than the previous BFG Rival (non S model).

Ended up with 255 fronts on 9s and 225 rears on 8s

mounted the race seat in the car today. required a small relocation of the LR tab to make the fit perfect. Used thicker tubing in the front to beef up the mounts. I MIGHT raise up the rear.

So I am trying to get my coilovers ordered. Custom valved BC racing double adjustables again (the triple adjustables wouldn't allow as much camber legally). 14k front and 18k rear rates. Might have some pics to come tomorrow.

IF I can then I'll get the downpipe installed tomorrow. Then all that's left is a tune
