I understand the whole lighter is better but this is my daily also so I want the looks also and can't afford dedicated race tires. Besides I'm not trying to be super competitive in the racing just doing it for fun.

And about being a better driver for my first day I won rookie street touring and got 5th in raw time against some pretty modded wrx's a c6 vette and an s4, I think I started out alright.

go to a region where there are fast drivers and see how you stack up. DC region comes to mind. Not that you're doing bad (quite the contrary), but if your first time out you're 5th fastest overall in a stock 3 on 18s then there aren't any fast drivers in your region.

It was also rookie day but I'm still happy with it for my first day. I'll let you know how the first points event goes. Either my friends that I'm more competing against than other people all have either have a 3 or speed so I can at least have some fun with them
