Atlanta Tour Day One Results

Way to go STF Mazda boys!

After day one lots of Mazda3's towards the top. Yahoo!!!

See: http://sololive.scca.com/STF.html

Now then, all together, "Rain, rain, go away............."

EDIT > Any wrenching/tire changing/spring changing going on there tonight, anybody? Or just some well-earned beer and such?

LOL, thanks Scott. David is knocking on Preston's door and going to be challenging for 1st and Justin is right there as well, I hope to move up a spot or two and trophy. We'll see how she goes, pretty exciting having such a nice big class out here full of top notch drivers.

I was happy with the car today, not going to change a thing.

Well today didn't go so hot. First run dirty, second run DNF on a drying course. Tried to put in a "safe" 3rd run and slide into the 5th and final trophy spot, but drove a little "too safe" by about .4 seconds Oh well, learning experience.
I need more of a "go big or go home mentality."

Heddericks was right on top of Preston today and had a good drive. Should be fun to watch the Tilus Focus, Chhit Mini, and Heddericks Mazda3 battle it out at Nats in a few months.

I know exactly how you feel Adam. A couple years ago at Dixie I had the fastest car by a second or more, but ran extremely conservative to get a clean one in. I went way too slow and ended up finishing 3rd or 4th. Won't do that again!

Awesome seeing such a large field. Great driving David!

Coned away fast time first day of the Tour and choked on day 2...d'oh...

Well the car development at lincoln helped a lot. I'm not so sure about the Rival being the best tire on the 3, but it worked it's butt off. Might need a RS-3 v2 for that last few tenths though...we'll see.

I'll give a better update in my build thread.

On a lighter note it was great seeing such a big class. Adam is another one of those rare people who makes the rest of us look like big a$$holes. That guy is one of those 20 SUPER nice and friendly people in autocross. If you can't get along with adam you should jump off a bridge LOL. What a nice guy

And god help you all when he finishes his car. It's peppy.

Just curious, did any of you try to get into the Wilmington Pro and get wait-listed? Looks like two Mazda3's got in, Kingsley and Day. Preston and I registered the minute it opened, and it filled up FAST.

It completely slipped my mind today that wilmington pros registration was this morning. Looks like I'll be sitting on the waitlist for a while.

And my guess is Colin Kingsley and Bob Day are codriving Colin's car. At least that's what they did at the DC Pros.
