Saw that happen to a BMW at an autocross years ago. Combine Kuhmo V710's with too soft a spring rate and way too abrupt a transition = he picked up two wheels 2' or more in the air right in front of the corner I was working.

Needless to say, we all cursed, ran, and checked our drawers in no specific order.

2007 Phantom Purple hatch; JBR RMM/busihgs/shifter plate, Koni STR.t's, Michelin Pilot AS3's, Spin on oil filter conversion, stubby antenna, Kenwood KDC-X997 hu + Sundown Audio SA12 + Infinity speakers + JL 320.4 amp, debadged and door edge guards removed, Lamin-X + indy fog mod, aluminum AC knobs, DIY SRI, TRS 5000K HIDs, more coming.

How much did that stock seat weigh David?

The Ultrashield is about 29lbs. Stock seat is 44lbs. My car is an 08. Side seat airbags and all manual. I could probably get the seat assembly down to 25lbs if I tried but I'd rather have an extra 5lbs and have it be stronger.

Not much weight savings, but I no longer fall outta the seat

I bought a corbeau bracket and double locking slider. And used 1" square tube for mounting. I may swap the tube in the back for flat steel to get it a bit lower...we'll see after this Sunday at the SCCA event (assuming the coilovers come in time)

Pretty floormats!

Hey David, have any plans on changing the rear springs rate of the "standard" coilover setup for the 3?

LOL holy hell yes. I'm starting at 12k rear. We'll see if I go up much more from there. The shocks are valved to handle up to 16k rear

You can thank Mack for the idea I semi stole and ghetto mathed down for a standard 3
