Went to the dyno today!

Hi all, just wanted to share with you guys the results of my dyno runs after a local guy did a reflash to my car. I'm impressed!!!

Sorry for the Iphone pics but that's the only thing I had in hand.

base run...

After reflash...

final product...

The torque came down a few points but I'm very very happy overall. Best $200 I've spent on the car so far.

You have a 2.3L with a swapped in manual trans correct? Torque looks good both post and preflash, but pre-flash your peak hp was only 116? That is quite low for a 2.3L with a stick, even bone stock, any idea why? And you supposedly made nearly 155 hp post flash. Hard to believe just a simple tune made nearly 40 whp on a naturally aspirated 3. The numbers just don't add up here. Perhaps you can shed some light on this?

Yes, my car has the ATX to MTX swap and I'm too very surprise with the numbers post and pre-flash. I have no idea why it was so low given the fact that now has a manual trans and it even was a surprise to the guy doing the flash. It caught us by surprise too how much of an improvement was after the reflash. I don't even have an intake I just have the simple stuff that we all do because is very simple like; crank sensor advance, different exhaust pipe with 2nd cat delete and intake resonator delete with intake hose routed to the front grill.

Very weird. Your car went from very weak to exceptionally strong with just a $200 flash. Also I noticed your torque curve is not really a curve and flat as Kansas up to and past 6,500 rpm with virtually no drop-off. Most V8's would die for that kind of curve, let alone a 4 banger. I hope it's right for your sake, I'm just very skeptical and when it's too good to be true it usually is . I'll be doing a full bolt-on build with CAI, full exhaust with headers and one high flow cat, and a top notch tune and I would be pleased as hell to make 154/139 at the wheels.

I know, it feels awesome now (obviously I have almost 40hp more now haha). Also forgot to mention the I have that vtcs delete and bsd delete. Anyway, it should be right because I can feel the big difference. From what the guy told me (I was watching the laptop screen while he was working but I don't understand anything of what he was doing) he tweaked the cams timing, the throttle body to open fully sooner and the fuel tables which made it to an air/fuel of 12.25-12.90 according to the wide band.

haha I'm from PR. The guy only promises a 15-20hp gains from the reflash. In my case I'm suspecting that my initial run with the 116hp was so low because of the ECU swap I had to do when swapping the tranny. Like for some reason the ECU was holding back or something since it was working in a different engine, with different sensors and stuff (could something like that even happen? does that make sense?). So, maybe if the car was a factory MTX probably my initial run would've been of 125-130hp + the 15-20hp that the reflash promises is 150-155hp. In that case, the reflash fix the problem of the swap + the 15-20hp can explain that type of gain?
