Fastrack keeps GS/HS split

The classes will remain split next season due to town hall input at Solo Nats and letters. I guess all my noise and speaking up did not fall on deaf ears.

I'm so cone-fused!

I wrote two letters on the topic and sent to the SEB, and I'd like to think that they secretly monitor the SCCAForums on that topic too (The SEB members never post or respond publicly).

Note that this is only for one year, and the change will be reassessed after this next year. They apparently agreed that they really should make the Street Tire change first before any other such drastic moves.

Next, to allay a future similar move, more folks need to show up at Tours and Nationals in H Stock (even with the Mini). Hope that RTF and RTR categories go away so folks can enter in their actual class. I believe that is supposed to happen now that Street Tires are in place (next year).

Glad to see H-street will be around next year. I'll still be preparing my car for STF this Winter After 4 seasons of stock in the Mazda, I'm ready for something new.

I guess this means STF won't be the slowest class anymore!

I'm not in H-stock anymore, but I think it would be pretty stupid to get rid of the biggest daily driver/econobox class.

I hope they decide to move the Mini to GS if it proves to dominate(as I'm sure it will again in the "street" classing).

Seems to me (and they never ask me!) that SCCA could simply declare H Stock "ineligible for National competition" if H Stock fails to meet their attendance requirements. In that way the Class is maintained Nationally, and would have some chance at coming back. The same action could be applied to every Class not meeting their attendance mandates. Don't do away with any such class, just make it ineligible for Nationals that year.

If H Stock is absorbed into G Stock, it will be gone forever, despite what some of the posters suggest is possible (for local Regions to maintain H Stock on their own).
