Season is going alright. Sitting 3rd in overall season points here in STL

And have a couple Nat event trophy and contingency wins thus far over in Wilmington. Headed to Bltheville AR next weekend for another Pro-Solo.

Hey, Scott, recognize these?

Can never have too many Slipstreams. I currently own 3 sets. Two are 15x7.5 and I also have a set of 15x8. Thanks Ken for the nice deal.

You are welcome for the upgraded wheel silver paint. I could not stand the original black.😉

You are owner #4, so they wear well, huh? Use them to your best advantage.

I'm enjoying my 01 Mustang, looking forward to figuring it out. That said, I miss my Mazda3's more than any of the other 100+ cars I've owned over the years. Never owned a car that did so many things that well.

I'm watching your progress. Hoping you peak in about a month or so.😉

I hear you. I'm toying with the idea of getting another Mazda3. A lightweight 2004-2006 3i like the one you had and dropping a 2.5L in it. FSP dreams

I hear ya, but I'd like a 2.0L i-sport car to start with that has crank windows, no a/c, ect ect. They are about 150 lbs lighter than the 2.3L cars, so they'd make a better candidate for a 2.5L swap.

Adam, be advised that those 2.0 cars almost always have no ABS, which will present some braking issues under severe braking and cornering conditions. I will also suggest that they are not the 150# hoped for weight differential. More like 80-100 or so.

My 2006 3i base car with minimal gas, no spare, stock battery and seats was 2650#. What's yours (with sunroof)?

I think the 3i Sports have power windows and stuff (like ABS).

Right, the 2.0L car has no abs either, which is fine with me. Many people prefer no abs on their race cars.

Mine weighed 2,750 in those conditions. Yours had a/c and mine has a sunroof so basically those cancel each other out weight wise.

Yeah, I'd say the difference is closer to 100 lbs, not 150. Still quite substantial.

Could be, somebody told me otherwise so I was going off of that. I'd have to do more research if I ever got serious about a 2.5L FSP build, but yeah, I'd want the lightest possible variant of a Mazda3 since any Mazda3 can be run in FSP with a 2.5L.
