Re: 2012 autocross results thread

I live and compete near Phoenix Arizona, and run in SK1 (Street Tire 1) Category, H Stock. Here is a link to our site:

http://www.azsolo.com/events-info/results

We have a very handy sorting tool; click on the "Fast Time" drop down, select "Pax Time", and then sort. I'll show up as 11th/113.....on street tires last month.
You can easily check earlier months/events where my Mazda3 and I also finished pretty well. My Pax numbers range from 930's to 960's.

Two of the drivers who beat me last month (on Pax Scores) are Current National Champs (Mark Huffman/DM and Fred Zust/XP). Some of the others
shown are also active on the National scene. It's a tough neighborhood........

Very happy with my 2008 Mazda3 2.3 Hatchback (all except for the darn lack of front camber).

Looks like your ruling the street tire class there. Also 11t out of 113 is damn impressive particularly on street tires. Don't sweat the lack of camber, it just comes with the territory in stock. Most cars with a Mcstrut front end (90% of new cars today come with Mcstruts) can't get more than -1 stock.

I'm more than a little jealous of your Top PAX scores :P; I believe you've done it more than once. When I grow up I want to be you.......

LOL, yeah it feels good to take the top slot. And you're on your way. Last year I took the PAX win at 9 events at various regions/sites across the Midwest. Almost had it at Chicago last Fall, that would have been a nice one, but couldn't beat Bartek. He's damn fast. I'll get him eventually

First event of the year. I out-paxed last year's HS Nat'l champ (although he was on older tires), but was beat out by a stupid Kart.

...stupid Karts.

Damn, you beat Feinberg. I'm impressed! Looks like a Mazda3 can definitely holds it's own in STF. Nice driving.

That is an impressive result. I know a lot of guys on this list, you've got to be ridiculously fast to beat those guys. Look forward to a battle in STF with you Eric. CCR ZMax event April 7th, you coming?

Re: 2012 autocross results thread

Results from Gateway Motorsports Park in STL last weekend. Nearly had it. Considering I was using road racing medium compound C51 Hankook tires on the stock wheels I'm real pleased with the result. The guy that beat me was on A6's. The C51's aren't quite as grippy as the C71's, but pretty damn decent in warmer weather (it was in the high 80's) and I had a co-driver. Next event I'll switch back to the C71's on Rotas if the temps are mid 80's or lower.
