Re: G-TECH COMP PRO SHULD I TRUST IT

I swear I had seen a vid on youtube or something where they tested a g tech vs an itouch with dynolicous and dynolicious was more accurate

^ I saw that vid. Yes, there are claims that dynolicious is more accurate.

The new gtech fanatic precision series gps receiver functions at 10 Hz, which I believe is faster than the old series, and is definitely way faster than the iPhone gps receiver. I can't say that translates to accuracy though. I have the new RR, which I bought specifically for the track. I haven't done much testing with it yet.

That was a biased vid...

My G-Tech works great and as long as you are consistant, it will give you good data...

Re: G-TECH COMP PRO SHULD I TRUST IT

Does the your GTech unit only use acceleromaters, or does it use GPS as well? Acceleromater-based tools are alright, but a VBOX style setup is always better as it relies on both Acceleromaters and GPS for the most accuracy. Oh, and anyone who trusts Dynolocious is a fool, end of story.
Edit: Calculate the DA for when you did your runs, just for the sake of comparison.
Also, your 60' are atrocious, you're losing so much time trying to get the car off the line, and that shows in your times. We trap about the same speed in the 1/4 (92-93) but I'm getting there in the low 15's.

Mine? It's uses both accelerometers and gps. Gps for lap config and lap times, and accelerometers for dyno features. It also tracks g's, which when output and analyzed, shows braking forces an cornering g's.
