No kidding. That is a big jump for HS. GS and DS got a bump as well.

I feel sorry for those that run in PAX classes. You're life just got a whole lot harder.

Yup. I just gave up a few tenths to some national champions just by waking up.

I run in PAX class, I would have got a better chance if the PAX was for 08, I was losing to the weak HS PAX. However, I am running PAX in a FSP Mazda 3 next year

looks like jumping ship into AS in 09 might be a smart move afterall
SCCA sunk my battleship (ms3) by making the class even faster
at least they have the relation of DS to the ST classes correct now. DS is slower than them all! :P

Re: 2009 RTP/PAX is out.

Thanks for the link- now I can update my club's website.
So here's a question. My car is completely stock except for a CAI, which can easily be removed. I won't be competing nationally, so I'm not concerned about '89-91 Civics. Would I be better off buying a rear sway bar and Falken Azenis and running STS; or getting 710's and running HS? The strong PAX guys in my area run SS and CSP. Do you think this change in the PAX table will create enough of a change to tip the scales in favor of STS?

PAX wise, you are better off in HS. The numbers assume a fully prepared car. You will be closer to a fully prepared car in HS than STS.
