Nice quick fix.

This brings up a point to mention...

When you change your oil filter there is no reason why the oil filter cartridge needs to be installed so tight that the next oil change you need to use a tool to remove it. They will not leak it you put oil on the seal spin it down until it stops and snug it up. The only time I ever use a tool to remove an oil filter is generally on a car I just acquired and changing the oil for the first time or customer engines.

FYI for all... IMHO using both metal and plastic oil filter removers for cartridge style filter the PLASTIC ones seem to last and survive the longest.
