There aren't even any rumors about an announcement of a concept... which probably means it's at least a year and a half out. Add on another year and a half for them to work out the glitches and for aftermarket support to catch up... 3 years at earliest, which is a long time in the scheme of things. Who knows where I'll be in life at that point, or what other interesting cars may be available.

Anyway, I'm already annoyed that it took so long! lol

It only takes a handful of people to turn a dead forum into a not-dead forum. Save M3f! If this forum actually did die, imagine how much valuable information would be lost...

I read something just last week at my brother's place about the new blown 2.5 Mazda has developed for the CX-9, MazdaSpeed3, and MazdaSpeed6. If memory serves, the output numbers were north of 300 HP and 300 lb-ft. That said, you may well be right about the timeframe for being brought to the market.

Personally think it's more like , "ooo" I bought my first car now I'm a Gona be a racer driver, mod my car, it's not the experience around the block people that u have on BMW or audi or v8 groups who have been around cars for a long time, lots of options
Maybe the speed 3 community better, but seriously there's not a big Mazda 3 community it's a small group and even smaller serious builders for a 3, don't get me wrong there are them here but not many specially ten years later miata forums are still really big, I've got more info on building these engines on focus groups and miata groups. We are the few,and three proud u guess aye.

I think a big part of it is that the OG 3 was a great platform to build upon or "mod" if you will, but the G2 just sucked and the 3G is really pretty awesome stock.

This thread revival is an example of that. I shouldn't feel bad about reviving a dead thread that is on the FIRST PAGE of threads.

I'm coming from the Honda Accord forums though where 5 pages of thread results would only put you about a week back (at most). If you want to see active threads, check out Honda forums (specifically Accords because the Civic ones are a bunch of idiots talking about their XXRs and turbo whistles).

Kinda wish Mazda owners were more active on forums and making writeups. There's a writeup for everything with Accords.

Well I'm sorry we're disappointing you, but frankly those of us who were very active have moved along and no one's arrived to take their place. I for one blame autoguide.

Interesting; I'm a mod on another forum purchased by Autoguide a few years ago (but a number of years after I joined that forum), and I don't think the traffic changed a bit before/after the buyout.

The reason the forum isn't extremely active is, well to be honest, our cars are just too damned good. There's hardly anything to talk about. They're built like a Sherman tank, and they just keep going and going. Anything that does go wrong, the passenger side motor mount for instance, has already been sorted years and years ago, so there's really no reason to talk about that anymore, either.

I for one and happy our cars are just this damned good.
