The cars have factory defects. In order to get the insurance money, they must be destroyed.

When a cargo ship carrying mazdas to the US or something crashed or whatever, all the cars were scrapped, even if nothing was wrong with them.

Re: Russian Tow Truck

hello
Mazda decided to destroy all the cars that were aboard the ill-fated ship Cougar Ace.
This ship in July, nearly sank near the Aleutian Islands. First, representatives of Mazda said that they will sell at a significant discount part of them that inside the Cougar Ace vehicles (all there were 4703 Mazda).
But then the Japanese company executives decided after all not to send customers cars that were damaged.
Not all "4703" cars were destroyed. It is rumored that they were sold illegally in the regions.

its just rumors... the 4700 on the ace when it nearly sank were all destroyed... it would be alot easier and cheaper to just destroy them and get insurance money rather than load them on ships and ship them to sell them in other countries, besides they were all US spec vehicles, and the cost to make them legal in other countries again would be illogical...

Not unless you are selling them in Russia or somewhere similar, where for a "small fee" (read bribe) you can get pretty much anything passed, done, approved and on the road. Heck, a shit load of cars in Russia are with right hand steering, because they import them from Japan. It's not illegal, but still, kind of annoying and accident prone.
