New Guy Here. SVT Focus Content Inside. (56k?)

Hello everyone. I'm new here, and just thought I would take some time to introduce myself. My name is Matt, and I currently drive an 03 SVT Focus. I'm a member on some of the focus forums (focaljet.com and focusfanatics.com with the same SN on both). I just currently purchased an 04 Mazda 3 with the 2.3 4speed auto (I got it so the g/f can drive it too). Also my current pride and joy is, as stated above, my 2003 SVT Focus which I will share a few pics with you guys.

^In its stock form.

^I started a group called Team OuttaFocus. That didn't last long though. I enjoy doing my own thing anyway.

Then....

^This was my second accident. Same side as the first, but the first accident was my fault, and I was the only one involved. This one, a lady pulled out of her driveway right into the side of me. How she didn't see me, idk....she was old. BTW, I have the wheels turned for a dramatic effect in this pic. It wasn't broken, nothing snapped.......

Fast forward to how it sits now....

^Sitting at my girlfriends grandparents house, before tint....

^At a local focus g2g at Lake Redman.

Nice Focus

You're going to really miss that LSD if you do any serious power mods to the 3 with its open diff.

What he said.

I've always thought it would be neat if there were a middle ground between the Mazda 3 and the Mazdaspeed 3 - maybe a more powerful/better tuned N/A engine or just a small turbo, along with tighter suspension and an LSD. I would have bought something like that, but I guess there isn't a huge market for it.

Anyhow, the SVT looks great! They're really pretty neat cars. How do you like the MZ3 stock in comparison to the SVT stock?

Hey, thanks for the response's. About the guy with the SVT clone, I don't think I have seen that one around.

And as for the Mazda3, I pick it up this Friday so I can't really say how much I like it yet. I know I was pretty excited when I took it out for the test drive. However, I don't think I will be doing anything to the Mazda3..........but then again, that's what I said when I first got the focus, and now look where it is......lol. Who knows, time will tell with what I do to the Mazda3. Mainly got it for a DD. But I wouldn't mind a set of the new RX8 wheels to put on. Gotta start somewhere, haha.

Well, now that I have the Mazda3 and can compare it to the SVT, I will have to say I think it rides slightly better than the SVT. Even though I didn't get the MS3 with *better* suspension, I think this has a really nice ride. HOWEVER, I wish it were a little bit lower to get rid of that wheel gap. But like I said in my other thread, I have things on the SVT that need taken care of first, plus getting the Mazda3 paid off before anything happens to the Mazda3.

I really like the SVT foucs and was going to get one after my zx5 was totaled a few years ago, but I am too tall to operated a clutch petal in most cars. I test drove a 3 and fell in love. Enjoy!

Very nice comp orange focus! My fav color aside from dark blue!

Are you on focusfanatics.com or focaljet.com? Those are the BEST two focus sites by far. If you're not on there, get on and you'll have a plethora of information and parts at your disposal!

Re: New Guy Here. SVT Focus Content Inside. (56k?)

^^Actually its Infra-Red.

I am on both FocalJet, and FocusFanatics (Under the same SN on both). I was actually informed about this site from a member by the SN of Niiitend1 on FJ.

http://forums.focaljet.com/team-rigz...re-speed3.html

I will have to say, I am still learning my way around these boards as FJ has me a bit spoiled. Sorry, I really like how those forums are set up. FF is kind of similar style, but I don't post much over there since I was on FJ first, nothing against FF though!

Thanks for the comments guys!
